The Dot XL is a 20 ounce glass mug, the same large format as the Office XL with the Dot series styling. It is made from borosilicate 3.3, the glass Trendglas JENA uses across its cooking and serving range. That glass does a lot of work. It is heat resistant up to 842°F, it handles extreme cold down to minus 31°F, and it takes sudden dramatic temperature changes without complaint, which is the failure point for ordinary glassware. It contains no heavy metals and it does not discolor, so a mug you use every morning still looks like the one you bought. Twenty ounces is a real mug. It holds a full pot's worth of tea or a large coffee, and it is safe on the stove, in the microwave and in the dishwasher. It measures 5.1 in by 4.5 in by 3.26 in, made with German glass and produced in Hungary.

Materials & Care
Borosilicate 3.3 German glass, produced in Hungary. Heat resistant to 842°F and cold resistant to minus 31°F. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Stove safe. Borosilicate 3.3 is chemically inert, so acidic drinks like hibiscus, lemon and rosehip do not attack the glass. It will not corrode, cloud or take on flavor from what you brewed in it yesterday. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch this glass, and only above 212 F, which is to say nothing that belongs in a kitchen.
