This is the eight cup french press: heat-resistant borosilicate 3.3 glass with a stainless steel lid and filter, brewing up to 33.8 oz. That is enough for a table at brunch or a round for the office rather than a single cup. It has two modes, decided by one part. Leave the white plastic insert in and the plunger froths milk. Take the insert out and it is a plain french press: coarse ground coffee, water at brewing temperature, then push the plunger down to trap the grounds and pour. The stainless filter means no paper and no waste, and the glass lets you see the brew develop. It is heat resistant, dishwasher safe and microwaveable, and it stands 9.3 in high, 5.9 in deep and 4 in wide.

Heat-resistant borosilicate 3.3 glass with a stainless steel lid and filter. Dishwasher safe. Microwaveable. Rinse the filter soon after brewing so grounds do not dry into the mesh. Acid is what wears out cheaper glass and metal infusers, and borosilicate 3.3 is resistant to it. Lemon, rosehip and hibiscus will not corrode or cloud the surface, and nothing you brew carries over in taste. It takes hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid or strong alkali above 212 F to etch this glass, which puts it well outside kitchen use.
