A tall glass changes how a beer tastes. The height concentrates the aroma at the rim and gives the head somewhere to sit instead of collapsing into the surface, which is most of what separates a considered pour from a drink out of a pint glass. This one holds 15 oz and stands 7.9 in. It is mouth blown in Japan from lead free glass, which has the clarity of crystal and lets the color and carbonation of the beer read properly. Because it is blown by hand, each glass carries small differences: a trapped bubble, a faint ripple in the surface, an occasional speck left by the tools. Those are evidence of how it was made, not defects. It arrives in a Japanese cedar box, so it goes straight out as a gift. Dishwasher safe, although a glass at this price is usually happier washed by hand.
