Essence Champagne Glass - Set of 2

Alfredo Haberli designed the Essence series in 2001, and the champagne glass is the narrowest of the family. It stands 9 in high and holds just over 7 oz, so a normal pour sits well down the bowl and the bubbles have a long way to travel, which is what keeps a sparkling wine looking alive in the glass. The glass is lead free and undecorated. Like the rest of the Essence range it is built around proportion rather than ornament. Dishwasher safe, though Iittala recommends hand washing for this one. With a bowl this tall and this slim, hand washing is the advice we would give anyway.
