Cold Brew Tea Infusing Bottle
$25
The idea is simple. The leaf sits in its own glass container in the neck of the bottle, kept clear of the water, and you flip the bottle when you want the brew to start. Flip it back and the contact stops. Nobody is fishing a bag out of a bottle. Cold brewing changes what you get out of caffeinated tea. The extraction is slower and gentler, so you pull more antioxidants and less of the bitterness that hot water drags out of the leaf. It also means you can set it up at night and drink it the next day. The body is borosilicate 3.3 glass, the cap is food grade silicone rubber and seals by air pressure, and the bottle holds about 17 oz at 7.8 in tall by 2.6 in across. It is a brewing vessel and a drinking glass in the same object, so nothing needs decanting. It is built for whole leaf ingredients rather than fine cut tea or tea bags. Designed in Hong Kong. One thing before first use: there may be a white powder on the glass or the silicone. That is edible soda used as an assembly lubricant. Rinse it off under running water and use the bottle normally.

Materials & Care
Borosilicate 3.3 glass with a food grade silicone rubber cap. Hand wash. Rinse away the white assembly residue before first use. Rinse the leaf container soon after brewing rather than letting leaf dry in it. Borosilicate 3.3 is chemically inert, so acidic drinks like hibiscus, lemon and rosehip do not attack the glass. It will not corrode, cloud or take on flavor from what you brewed in it yesterday. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch this glass, and only above 212 F, which is to say nothing that belongs in a kitchen.
