The Office Mug XL is a 20 oz glass mug in borosilicate 3.3, made in Germany by Trendglas Jena. It holds 7 ounces more than the standard Office Mug, which in practice is the difference between refilling once and not refilling at all. Trendglas Jena makes heat-resistant glassware rated to 842°F for cooking, baking, boiling and serving. The glass contains no heavy metals and does not discolor over time, so a mug you use daily for black coffee looks the same in three years as it does now. It also takes sudden temperature swings and cold down to -31°F, which matters more than people expect: iced coffee in the morning and boiling water in the afternoon is exactly the kind of use that cracks ordinary glass. Stove, microwave and dishwasher are all fine. At this size it works as well for iced tea and cold brew as it does for a long morning coffee.

Materials & Care
Borosilicate 3.3 heat-resistant glass, made in Germany. Dishwasher safe. Microwave safe. Stove safe. Rated to 842°F and down to -31°F. Borosilicate 3.3 is chemically inert, so acidic drinks like hibiscus, lemon and rosehip do not attack the glass. It will not corrode, cloud or take on flavor from what you brewed in it yesterday. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch this glass, and only above 212 F, which is to say nothing that belongs in a kitchen.
