Legnoart Optimun Decanter Set with Ashwood Base

The Optimum is a decanting set rather than a single piece. You get the decanter, an ashwood base for it to sit on, and a funnel for the pour. The decanter stands 9.1 in high. The base is the part people underestimate. A decanter with a rounded or narrow foot is awkward on a table and worse on a sideboard; standing it in a shaped ashwood base makes it stable and gives it somewhere to live between bottles. The funnel controls the pour, which is where sediment gets left behind. Legnoart works to a small-workshop standard, with craftsmen finishing each piece individually rather than to a line spec. That is why two pieces from the same run are close but not identical.
