The Glass Soup Hot Pot is a 16 oz borosilicate 3.3 glass cup made to go from heat to table to refrigerator without changing vessels. That is the point of it. Soup gets cooked, eaten and put away, and doing all three in one cup means one thing to wash. Borosilicate handles thermal shock up to 842°F, so moving it off the heat and into the fridge does not risk cracking it. Beyond soups and stews it takes on simmering sauces, cooking rice and boiling pasta, and because the glass is clear you can watch what is happening without lifting anything. The surface is non-porous, which means it does not stain and does not hold on to the smell of last week's chili. It cleans easily by hand and it is dishwasher safe.

Materials & Care
Borosilicate 3.3 glass. Thermal shock resistant up to 842°F. Dishwasher safe. Non-porous surface that resists staining. The glass is chemically inert, so lemon juice, vinegar, tomato and other acidic foods will not corrode or cloud it and no flavor carries over from one use to the next. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch borosilicate 3.3, and only above 212 F.
