The Nova cup holds 8.4 ounces and comes with its own glass saucer. The handle is the detail that distinguishes it: the ear is slightly rectangular, which gives your thumb a flat place to rest instead of sliding around a round loop. Pick one up and you notice it immediately. The cup is borosilicate 3.3 glass and is microwave and dishwasher safe, so hot tea, coffee, juice or milk all suit it and reheating is not a problem. The saucer is soda lime glass and is not heat resistant, so keep it out of the microwave. Made by Trendglas Jena GmbH in Germany.

Materials & Care
Cup: borosilicate 3.3 glass, microwave and dishwasher safe. Saucer: soda lime glass, not heat resistant and not for microwave use. Made in Germany. This glass does not react with what goes in it. Daily hibiscus, lemon or rosehip will not corrode the surface, cloud it or leave a flavor behind for the next cup. The only substances that etch borosilicate 3.3 are hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali, and only above 212 F. None of them live in a home kitchen.
