This is the Tea for Two teapot fitted with a laser-engraved stainless steel infuser and the flat Tea Time lid. Three pieces: pot, infuser, lid. It is made in Germany by Trendglas JENA from lead-free borosilicate 3.3 glass, which handles hot and cold, resists stains, and lets you watch the leaf open and the color deepen as it steeps. The laser-engraved infuser is the difference between this version and the standard one. Laser engraving produces finer, more precise openings than a stamped or perforated basket, so more of the small particles stay in the infuser instead of in your cup. The flat Tea Time lid sits low on the pot and holds heat and steam in while the tea works. Using it is straightforward. Fill the pot with hot water no higher than the spout, load loose leaf into the infuser and lower it in, then cover with the lid and let it steep. When it is ready, take the lid off, set it upside down on a flat surface, lift the infuser out and rest it on the lid to drain.

Lead-free borosilicate 3.3 glass with a laser-engraved stainless steel infuser. Made in Germany. Fill with hot water no higher than the spout. Rest the infuser on the inverted lid to drain after brewing. Borosilicate 3.3 is chemically inert, so acidic drinks like hibiscus, lemon and rosehip do not attack the glass. It will not corrode, cloud or take on flavor from what you brewed in it yesterday. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch this glass, and only above 212 F, which is to say nothing that belongs in a kitchen.
