Ebony Stovetop Kettle

A full-size stovetop kettle: 2.5 liters, which is about 2.6 quarts or 84 oz, enough for a pot of tea and a couple of extra cups without refilling. The body is 18/10 stainless steel, mirror polished. 18/10 is the grade with 10 percent nickel, which is what gives stainless its corrosion resistance and its shine over the long run rather than dulling after a year on the hob. The handle and lid knob are black, shaped to sit in the hand, and the dark finish against the polished steel is the whole visual idea of the kettle. It whistles, which is the point of a stovetop kettle. You put it on and walk away, and it tells you when it is ready. Stellar is a British kitchenware brand.
