GRL PWR, six letters and no vowels, is shorthand that has spent a few years on skin and clothing and has now landed somewhere more useful. This is a mug that gets picked up every day rather than admired once. Porcelain, 10 oz, 4 in tall, dishwasher safe and microwave safe. It arrives in a gift box, which makes it the kind of present that costs little thought and still gets used. Sophie Masson came to porcelain from fashion design and perfected the work in Limoges, the French town that has meant porcelain for two hundred years. She trained as a decorator and brings that to tableware. She took the SIMA prize from IMAP, the institute of crafts and heritage, in 2017, and the Coca-Cola Women's Force Creation Prize in 2018.
