This set pairs two Costa II glass mugs with two saucers. Each mug holds 8.5 oz and is made from Trendglas Jena borosilicate 3.3, the same glass used across the range, certified allergy-free and pore-free. The saucer is not decoration. It catches drips, gives a wet spoon somewhere to land, and makes a glass mug read as a proper coffee service rather than a mug on a table. Clear glass shows the color of the coffee or the tea, which is why these get used in meeting rooms as often as kitchens. Pore-free glass means nothing soaks in, so there is no stain and no carryover of flavor between drinks. Each mug is 4.1 in tall, 3.9 in wide and 2.6 in deep, microwave safe, dishwasher safe and heat resistant.

Borosilicate 3.3 glass, produced by Trendglas Jena GmbH. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. Heat resistant. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Acid is what wears out cheaper glass and metal infusers, and borosilicate 3.3 is resistant to it. Lemon, rosehip and hibiscus will not corrode or cloud the surface, and nothing you brew carries over in taste. It takes hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid or strong alkali above 212 F to etch this glass, which puts it well outside kitchen use.
