The half liter measuring jug, for the quantities most recipes actually call for. It is graduated in cups, ounces, liters, milliliters and grams, so you can follow an American recipe and a metric one out of the same jug. Borosilicate 3.3 glass means it takes heat, so melting, warming and measuring all happen in one vessel. It is microwave safe and dishwasher safe. At 5 inches tall with a 5 by 3.3 inch footprint, it takes very little cupboard space, which is the practical argument for owning the small one alongside the liter. Made in Germany.

Materials & Care
Borosilicate 3.3 glass, made in Germany. Microwave safe. Dishwasher safe. The glass is chemically inert, so lemon juice, vinegar, tomato and other acidic foods will not corrode or cloud it and no flavor carries over from one use to the next. Only hydrofluoric acid, concentrated phosphoric acid and strong alkali will etch borosilicate 3.3, and only above 212 F.
