These hold 16 oz, which is two cups, and the shape is as much bowl as mug. That is the point of them. A jumbo mug takes soup or chili the way a bowl does but gives you a handle, so it can be carried to a chair and eaten out of one hand. They come into their own with hot chocolate and with ice cream, where a normal mug is too narrow for a spoon to work in. Porcelain, so they go in the dishwasher and in the microwave. Set of two.
