These are the Cache Bouteilles: three sleeves that pull over a standard wine bottle and hide the label. The point of a blind tasting is that nobody knows what they are drinking, and the usual solution is a brown paper bag out of the kitchen drawer. This is the alternative, and the difference shows on the table. Opacity and elasticity both come from the trip tread construction, so the sleeve actually blocks the label rather than letting it read through the fabric, and it stretches over the shoulder of the bottle instead of bunching at the neck. Each of the three carries a different button, brass, copper and black, which gives you a way to tell one covered bottle from another mid tasting. You can also number them with a silver marker. Two of the three are cotton and the third is Elasthanne Lycra. Made in France, and a straightforward gift for somebody who tastes seriously.
